Game over.....

It is with deep regret and much sadness that I have to say I’m selling my pride and joy. For the second time I’ve been broken into at home but this time they turned my house over, stole the spare set of keys and came to my workplace and stole my car in broad daylight from outside my office.

I’m not a superstition kind of person but someone is trying to tell me something here! I raced motorbikes for 12 years and 10 of those was pretty injury free, the last 2 I lost count of the bones I’ve broken. I think I’m at that crossroads again as I don’t think I’ll get away with a third one.

I can honestly say I’ve had a great time here and the people I’ve/we’ve met have been true salt-of-the-earth people and for that I thank you all. The Euro trip was a blast.

I’ll post the details of the motor here when I’ve got my sh*t together but I’m guessing no one really wants a stolen recovered car even if it was only for 10 minuets.

Take care guys and look after your loved one’s

That is <beep> Patrick, sorry to hear what has happened, just hope you and Val are OK.

Can't blame you if that has happened, it is afterall only metal, plastic, leather and mechanicals, albeit a very nicely packaged example! If you ever contemplate taking the ceramics off your car I could be tempted in a swap? :bigblink:

Keep visiting the site though, what do you think is on the agenda next? Prius?

Rusty push bike with flat tyres I think Graeme.

I was just thankful Val wasn't here, I was back in the north this weekend as my dad passed away and the funeral was Monday otherwise she would have been here when they broke in..........small mercies

Thanks P&L, I know what you mean, the first time I was all up for giving them a run for thier money but you knnow what, I'm just so gald I wasn't in this time. I would gladly swap the car for my dad's watch they took.............my they die a slow and painful death

So sorry to hear this Patrick

As you say, family (and fate) come first, so follow your heart - I've only had one break-in (foreign house) but lost my grandfather's watch and my father's prized possession, and I'd probably swap the car for either...

People caught and convicted of thieving should have all their fingers cut off with a rusty spoon and be made to wear them round their necks like some sort of tribal necklace

Thanks everyone for your comments, I’ll keep you posted plod say they have some leads just need to firm up the evidence. Good ole british justice system, if there’s a way wriggle out of it you can be sure some smooth suited lawyer will find it
