Is this an OK price for a new standard clutch?

Been advised £900 extra if flywheel also needs replacing?

This is at a specialist, not Audi.

Did the clutch brake due to the clutch pipe splitting? If so I would say that a new flywheel is required.

Don't know. They will check the flywheel when they have it all apart.

Was fine until some odd issues with clutch (which I posted on here), now it is very juddery. Garage have said definitely clutch and will advise on flywheel.

£1000 sound OK?

Why not look at an aftermarket option? Sachs one feels like stock and will have better durability

The OP sounds expensive....is this labour inclusive? Or just the parts?

This price is fitted incuding VAT (plus I get to run around in a VW Fox for a couple of days....)

I spoke to another well know specialist and they quoted £1600 + VAT.
