Rear Shock Absorber - Exploded

All, one of my rear shock absorbers has exploded and I need to source a replacement. Any ideas on the best one to get / who's got the keenest price?

My friendly local garage (not Dealer) has diagnosed this but I think there is a noise coming from the front also. Could something else be amiss? Car due for a service in the next month or so, perhaps I should let the Dealership (where it will go for a service) take a look? I've heard DRC mentioned on here, perhaps that could be an issue? In the interim, am I going to cause any further damage driving it as it is?

Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks,

Michael.

If you've lost pressure then you'll probably need a new accumulator too. DRC is usually a Stealer fix, cost me £1700 last year for one shock and an accumulator.

Unit 20 now have the machine required to carry out DRC repairs, worth a call as you know it will be done right and for half the price of a stealer.

Bin the DRC and get an aftermarket kit.

Go for the KW V3s mate, it will sit better at the front end and, with the money you save,' you can get some more mods. Let us know what Unit 20 quote you btw.

+1. I'm in the Keep The DRC camp but that's little more than wishful thinking if it still costs an arm and a leg from an independent specialist.

I agree Stu, I want to keep mine too but I can't afford £1300 each time one leaks too much which is why I'd be forced to change. If Unit 20 are reasonable about it then I'll get mine done with them and keep the car stock.
