Tailgating muppets

Why is it that our cars seem to attract tailgating muppets of the worst sort? I've just been out on our local dual carriageway, and I'm sitting in well spaced traffic at about 80mph when I look in the mirror to see an old shape Transit, 3 up, sitting I kid you not about 3ft off my back bumper. WTF?? Anyway when the traffic cleared I left them for dead as you can imagine (I had to get away from them for safety reasons officer). Then driving back through town in the 30 limit some young fcukwit in a hairdressers 4x4 is sitting about 12 inches back from my bumper. Seriously, these people need removing from the gene pool.

I have a philosophy:
"THE CLOSER YOU GET, THE SLOWER i GO"
I have cruised at 20kph on a 70kph road, to demonstrate a point to some <beep>

That's my philosophy too! Why should I risk points on my licence because of them?
Sometimes for fun I do something else. If I'm on single lane road I'll just keep a nice steady 60mph. It's a nice boring speed. Then, when the twisies approach I don't slow down and and definitely don't use the breaks. I watch in the back mirror as they squirm with the realisation that they should've braked about 20 yards ago. No tailgaters in ditches yet, but it's gonna happen some day

Also, when they get so close, i sometimes use the quick dab of the rear fog lights, always fools them it's hard breaking, gives some space !!

It's not just your cars. I had a twit up the rear end and moving from side to side of the Wife's A2 this morning whilst I was passing a lorry doing 80mph. .

If someone is tailgating me I pull over and let them go because I am already travelling at the maximun safe speed. I do not want to cause an accident or be involved in one because of the actions of someone else. When I was younger I tried slowing down to annoy the tailgater only for them to stop after they had got by. The four biggest, meanest and ugliest mother****ers got out needless to say I did not stop. Lesson learnt

That's just dumb.... and makes the situation worse.
Do you also hog the middle lane?
Just pull over, and let the twats pass.... or go faster yourself !
I hate it when people think it's their right to "teach me the national speed limits" by holding up the whole road.
If I want to drive at 130mph, that's my choice.... I may be a complete <beep> for doing it.... but it's still MY choice.

People who remain in the outside lane because they're doing 70mph and that's the limit need to move to one side and let me past. I don't tailgate people as it bugs the life out of me when others do it but sometimes i wish i could just run into the back of them to teach them a lesson!

There is the problem of course when someone tailgates on a busy single carriage way or in a built up area possible near a school and there is no way you can pull over and let them go by. The only action is be aware of them.

outside lane hoggers gind my gears
EVERY morning AND EVRY night to and from work on the duel carrigeway there is a line like lemmings in the outside lane with nothing in the inside lane.
I just cruise up the inside then when I come up to the odd bod in the inside 99.999% there is a huge gap to allow me to pull out!
why do people drive like this?
other one is the ones that sit there with nothing on the inside lane, you come up behind them, they move over, you pass and they move back out!!!!! WTF????
