My Daily Drive, Abarth 500 if anyone is interested.

Post by Jonesy07 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 11:41 am

I thought i might put some info up on my daily drive as i have been really impressed so far and thought people may be interested.

I decided to get a second car due to the amount of miles i have been putting on my RS and didn’t really want to sell it.

I drove everything out there trying to make a decision. Brief was for a small car, reasonable mpg and must be a little bit of fun otherwise i would just end up back in the RS4 with my daily sitting on the drive.

So i went for a standard Abarth 500 apart from Sabelt seats that i had added. Here it is on the day of collection.

3000 miles in and i have been really impressed and hardly driven the RS4 in the week which was the plan, so i decided to add the Koni Esseesse kit to the Abarth.

Better brakes, suspension and a bit more power.

Great little car and really happy with my decision after weeks of driving small cars from almost every manufacturer out there !

I like. One of these gunned it past me as I was walking the other day, it had a lovely exhaust note.

I raced one of these from the lights once. We were neck and neck for the first 20 but then at 25MPH I ran out of puff, so I sat back down on my mountain bike, selected the big gear and watched it slowly overtake me.

Sorry, I don't "blow for toe" but you're certainly quite the man for the fairytale quips Bam. Tell me, have you got a big stash of Disney DVDs and soft toys too?
