Post by NaAW_x » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:27 am

Hi GUYS,

I know many of you have probably clicked on this topic thinking im offering the swap, but sorry people im not.

I have been offered a swap with someone and i wanted to know how much would be a decent amount to pay on top of the swap. He asked me to give him an offer but i didnt know how much to offer so i said i would get back to him.

Can anyone help?

Which way is the swap? You get the Milltek and he gets OEM?

Depends on which Milltek it is, does it have resonated or non-resonated sections and importantly is it valved or non vaalved. The non valved is worth way less than than valved.

Yes, i get the Milltek and he gets the OEM.

I am no expert on the exhausts but he told me it is resonated with valves, in those words.

What would i be looking at if i were to get it brand new for each system?

Resonated are more expensive, so are ones with valves. I think you're looking at around £1,700 for that exhaust brand new and yours is probably worth £250.

If that was me I'd offer £1k and to pay the labour, then see how you go.

I also think you should swap the resonated pipes for my non-res ones, yours will be too quiet ;-)

I would be asking how old the exhaust is first and how many miles it has covered. Likewise for yours. What DazN suggested is top whack, used resonated valved Millteks can be had for a lot less than that.
