Bluetooth / Digi TV / Ipod Interface

My RS4 has a nokia bluetooth kit installed by the previous owner and to say that the quality is shocking is an understatement. So I need to get the factory option fitted - who is the best person/company to speak to ??? Craig maybe??

While I'm at it, I also need an ipod interface, what are people fitting these days I believe the alpine unit is no longer available?

Also, has anyone bothered with the digital TV update and how effective is it on the move?

I don't mind spending a bit to upgrade the systems as I intend to keep the car for a while. Any thoughts/comments appreciated

Cheers,

Mark

Not sure where you are in the country mark but can recommend these guys in Hertfordshire if that's closer to you -

Hi,

I have an Alpine 425i, Kufatec IMA Plus and reverse camera fitted to mine, however I'm thinking of upgrading the head unit and therefore selling the job lot, interested? It would come with all the wires you need too, so not just the boxes on their own.

It's still in the car so it'd take me a while to remove it, I'd also suggest professional fitting as you have to enable VIM (video in motion) to get it working properly.

PM me if you're interested.

Cheers

Daz

P.S. Here's a demo of it:-

They quoted me £380 + VAT to supply and fit. I bought the parts myself and paid CraigyB to install for me, it was less than £100.

Not sure you can have iPod and digital tv connected at the same time.

I'll take some pics and post later today.

I quite like that, whats the cost without fitting? I saw ones on eBay for 160

You might get the Alpine unit for £160, then the Kufatec is about the same and all the wiring to go with it. Kufatec used to sell it as a kit including everything and it was about £350 + VAT, can't remember the exact amount.

It's been great to have a use but I don't do that many miles these days and I've gone back to using the SD cards. I will miss the reverse camera though, oh and watching videos on the RNSE :-)

I used vwcruise to fit OEM BT, a digi tv and an ipod cable (simple cable running into aux)

the BT and cbale work fun

the digi tv is utter crap to use and reception is <beep>
