Don't see the point in going bigger.
89mm isn't far off the throttle body size (90mm) and you still have the wing and bonnet air paths in addition to the caf.

Agree with Ads on that one, with the 89mm CAF there is penty of intake air available.

Sar - No connector pipes needed, just take the pipe from the top left of the drivers aux rad and fit this directly to the main radiator with 2nr jubilee clips or similar to ensure a good seal (eliminates the pipework around the aux rad)

Anyone help on the othe 3 questions?

4) yes the jets pop out with pressure.
Hose can pop off though. quite a pita to get them open - IIRC (but could be wrong) bumper off job.
Might have some luck with a small rubber suction cup like what phone holders attach to the window with.

89mm pipe fits snug onto the airbox inlet as shown in the pic. As above you have the inlet that feeds the the airbox from the top of the grill.

The wing snorkel is for air overflow to stop air building up in the airbox when the throttle is closed.

Cheers Ads, getting the pump tested today.

Hi sonny, can you help on my questions 1 and 3? :beerchug:

Also i see you have a zip tie holding something behind on your rad duct, is it the rad pipe?

Cold air feed inlet added

MRC removed the Aux rad and added the CAF. I, at a later stage attached it to the airbox ( as i was running a GruppeM), the inlet was added as one was never fitted to the CAF.

Cold air feed inlet added

Sorry, the 89mm duct is held in by
Zip ties. Also the black plastic/rubber
Side bit that covers the oil cooler pipe is helped in place by a zip tie too.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but if I connect the top left hose straight to the radiator, surely there needs to be a connector involved. I will try and get a picture uploaded as to what I can see.

Ah found what I need to do. I have connected the pipe which runs from the main radiator to the point before cannister like shaped object. I have ran it to the metal pipe which drops down from the engine bay. Much tidier and neater and of course less pipework and less connections to go wrong.

Hope that helps anyone who is trying to delete the aux rad.

Thread revival... Would I have to map my car to install the cold air feed and removal of the airbox flap ?
