RS4 boot lid

Right then,RS4 bootlids,do we think the us spec and jap spec (if they do them) are the same.

Would anyone be this geeky and know :lol: also does any know what size plate the Americans use.

I know you can get two CF style ones, one has a bigger lip spoiler than the other.

I know RS4 Jap spec have a manual fuel cap release button, but cant think why there boot lid will be different. Someone with ETK will know.

Thanks Sonny,they main difference is the size of the number plate.

The us/jap spec are narrower but use a double width plate,the reason I know
Is I have a new one :biggrin3:

I'm just struggling to work out how to do my plate as I don't know if the double one will look right,if not I need to smooth the recess,s under where the number plate fits.

Standard US plates are 6" x 12" I believe
RS2 for 8 years / 100k miles
Current; '07 RS4 Avant, Daytona, Buckets...

US plates are 6 x 12 vs the euro 4 1/2 x 20. I'd love to swap you so I could have a euro plate opening on my US car - I think it makes the car look wider from the rear. One always wants what one doesn't have...
