Hi all

Back after being talked back in to looking at an RS4

Basingstoke Audi colbornes has AF07 UAR in at £27450
But can get to £26k ish, Audi warranty is quite important to me hence looking at dealer

Anyone know this car? Anyone experienced basingstoke audi?

Drove it earlier, loved it, looked and felt good and the guys seemed helpful but interested if anyone knows this car.

Car check shows 5 keepers but would assume 2 would be audi when sold back to them and buy them.

Don't know the car but looking its spec you may get a bit more movement from Basingstoke Audi.

Not everyone is interested in re-sale values as you may intend to keep it, but it's lack of buckets and the flat-bottomed steering wheel, the silver nappa, and 5 former keepers will make it difficult to move on. If the spec suits then haggle hard.

Don't go near Basingstoke Audi, I wouldn't trust them with the longest bargepole ever invented.

Yes they're part of the Colbornes Group as are Camberley Audi, but the two dealerships are chalk & cheese.

I'm still waiting for a phone call from Basingstoke Audi to tell me that the order book for the B6 S4 is open!!!

Don't know the car but have bought an RS4 from Basingstoke Audi and was far from impressed with their service, haven't crossed their threshold since.

No, that will be 5 owners surely-? I dont think traders between owners are counted

5 owners and no buckets? God help you at resale

Hmmmm,Most of us certainly prefer buckets but not all,ive seen a few swap over and its not to hard to change to
buckets in the future if you wanted.
Also i'm sure none of us can deny the comfort seats wear so much better than the buckets.

If you believe everything else about the car is exactly what you want,then go for it,if your unsure there will
be plenty more b7's up for sale.

DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH 5 OWNERS ... you will be 6th, at resale, the new buyer will be 7TH

NOONE WILL TOUCH IT ... you will trade it in for teens

so if you want to drop £10k on a car, buy it ....

otherwise keep looking

Ive moved on from this one, 5x owners was just too much for a car with only 34k.

Ive found one with 3x owners and 10k less miles for fairly close money at main dealer. Clearly gonna pay a premium for main dealer but I want that security so going for a look later.

Moving from a Focus ST I must admit im not over fussed on spec specifics. The 5x owner motor was very nice, looked good clean looked after condition and its far better spec'd than any ST so the key bits for me are low miles, Fash, maindealer, DRC done and doesnt look like its been ragged stupid and hitting a certain repayment point.

This purchase will be a keeper so resigned to it losing money, probably a lot of money but I'll only live once!

I didnt realise the previous owners would be such a problem,good job mine only has 2 then

Owners don't bother me too much.

I'm the 4th on mine and two listed on the log book were in the same household. Like you I plan on keeping this until it either blows up (likely), gets pinched or I get a GTR. By the time I sell on it will probably be in line with most others as far as owners go. If it's well looked after with documented history and you're happy with it then why not go for it?

Just because the car has had one owner doesn't mean it's the perfect example. I looked at a few 1 & 2 owner cars and they weren't a touch on mine as far as condition goes.

Completely agrree Dave.

It's a stigma attached to cars with high mileage/multiple owners. There could be hundreds of reasons why a car has changed hands a few times and they may not be all negative.

It doesnt bother me,BUT if i thnk it will effect resale value after what you have said they maybe it would from now lol.

My thinking if its a had a few owners,alot of new owners always pamper and look after a car they have just purchased
