Apologies for yet another how much is my car worth but...

If I were to sell my car privately/px today, can anyone give me an idea of what I should be asking:

2006 (06) RS4 B7 with the following spec;

Mugello Blue Saloon
21k miles
4 x new Tyres
Full Service History, warranty until June 2012
1 previous owner
Service due in 4000 miles/June 2012
Black bucket seats
Bose
Heated front and rear seats
Flat bottomed steering wheel
Parking Sensors
Satnav
Carbon Fibre trim

I paid £30k for my car in June and am a little concerned at the rate which our beloved RS4's are losing value..

If you paid 30k in June 2011, you really don't want to be asking questions like this!!

The depreciation curve has been strange - residuals hung on better than everyone was expecting despite production not being limited like the B5, but prices have really dropped in the last 12 months for some reason. Last autumn I recall someone selling an 2007 Avant with 45k on the clock for about 34-35k! Now that car would sell for 25k if you are lucky.

Got offered 21k for mine a few weeks back.

56 plate phantom black Avant (1 prev owner)
Service not due for 6 months
27k miles FASH
FBSW
Satnav
Solar sunroof
Daytime running lights
coming home lights function
Suspension+
Technology pack
Auto dim mirror
Auto lights/wipers

Worst still is the price has fallen further since......

Thats worth 21k privately all day long. Suspension plus, solar roof, exclusive buckets, carbon trim.

Thats from a Audi main dealer.

I have been informed prices are going to take a hammering over the next few months.

O no lol.....we never planned on selling the car, planned on keeping it for a long time.

Very sadly some serious defects came to light with the car (still very upsetting to think about actually)

long story short...I rejected the car and got a refund.

I searched long and hard for a car of this spec, was going to fit ceramics next month, luckily managed to get a full refund on those.

I am grateful to Audi for sorting out a refund, just annoyed that they never understood the impact it had on us to save up, buy the car of our dreams then have to give it back. So much for multi point checks

At the end of the day it is just a lump of metal to them.

Needless to say we (missus and the kids too) were gutted to lose the car and still get upset thinking about it. Bit of a petrolhead family

That must have been horrible. Thankfully you had the peace of mind of the Audi warranty and option to reject the car. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one. Audi are stocking less and less RS4s now I think?

Was without doubt the worst few weeks of our life, the stress was unbelievable.

Audi cust services were useful as a cock flavour lolly. In the end we had to take it to the MD and Head of UK Cust services to broker a resolution. With added leverage from trading standards, our solicitor and the editor and used car editor of what car magazine.

The worst feeling is being let down by a brand I have grown up with and loved. Think Audi/VW enjoy a hell of a lot of brand loyalty that they take it for granted, well at least in the UK.

Back to my original question, what do you think it would be worth on the private market?

Back to my original comment, if you paid 30k in June 2011, you really don't want to know!! Have a look on Pistonheads at similar ones if you need to sell.

private I would estimate arround 25k
