Apologies for yet another insurance post guys, but i need some help regarding my insurance
I'm absolutely fuming
Up to now my premium was £1080 with 5 years NCD, 3 points (SP30) and following mods declared;
Exhaust
Uprated brakes
Aftermarket wheels
Unfortulately earlier this year I 'tapped' the rear bumper of of another vehicle with the wifes car who decided to make a lane change last minute without indicating

Who has then decided to claim for injuries!!
anyway, i did not make any sort of claim as there was no damage to either vehicle.
Just recieved my renewal who now want more than double for this years premium £2350 WTF!!!!!!
Reason for this i have been told is due to the claim and general increase in premium.
I have done a quick insurance search on a couple of comparison sites and am getting crazy quotes even above my renewal, i just understand how 1 claim has made such a huge difference.
I'm wondering what sort of prices other londoners are paying especially those with a claim and points...

I would consider beating £1350 worth of additional premium from the lane changers face.
The sooner these frivolous injury claims are sorted the better.
No way I am getting insurance to pay for my rear bumper that has been tapped by some muppet parking
I am no help to you, I pay roughly £950 (I think) with 3 years NCB and no points. Admiral.
I hope you manage to find an affordable solution. Its wrong when insurance companies deliberately make claiming so expensive that its pointless doing it, wtf is the point of having it??

Similar to Kiwi really, c£800 for my wife and I. Although 12+ NCB and no points with Admiral.
I've used Chris Knott in the past who have been good......

Do you have more than one car to insure ?
I use Primo for my three.

Well I have mine and the wifes VW Polo diesel, could try that i suppose, just been told that all 3 of the occupants in the other car made injury claim!! F-in to33ers! I wish I could give them real injuries to worry about
No way on earth I am willing to pay that sort of premium for insurance, especially on a weekend car, it's madness

Primo mainly deal with three or more cars, might be worth a call.
RS4, BMW 330 CAB and S3 for £1300, best I could find.

I put in another area just out of interest and the quotes were miles different, perks of living in shitty London eh, think i may pitch the idea of moving out of London to the Mrs just so I can get cheaper car insurance on RS!
I don't know what to do honestly, £460 road tax, £2500 insurance renewal... i'm still in disbelief
To be honest, selling has crossed my mind.
Even then, looking at the current prices, i'd be looking to take a £8k hit on the car if i sell and i've only owned for a year.

That does not make any sense, must be due to the high theft rate of the RS4.

I know how you feel mate ...... NCB 5 years, no points, no claims, 30 years old ........ £1250

......and thats only for a 8 year old B6 S4 !!
RS is next on the list but overall the cost of just keeping the thing on the road terrifies me slightly.

It's stupid, i'm 32, on my B5 I was paying £600 with mods declared, then the B7 shot up to over a grand which I thought was reasonable as it's newer/valued more, but now the companies are taking to p155
