The front shock absorbers have failed on my 2006 (i.e. out of warranty) RS4. I live in Leeds and I am looking for an Audi main dealer, to repair the DRC, who are competent and have the correct equipment. I have seen some good comments about Audi York, but there are others nearby such as Leeds, Knaresborough, Wakefield, Huddersfield etc.

Can anybody recommend any of the above or another credible alternative?

Mine went into Hull 3 times and still not correctly re gassed,it went to York once and job done!! Luckily there now probably the same distance for me as hull my last visit left my blood boiling,to be fair you would be lucky to get it booked in anyway because theres never anyone available and leaving your number for them to call you back gets tedious after repeating it several times!

Mine went into Audi Huddersfield and they told me I'd have to pay for it, I explained it was a known issue and the woman said she'd have to check. 10 minutes later they agreed to do the work completely free and swapped the front DRC. My car is just over 3 years old and all they asked for was the Audi service history (which I had).

Not had any issues since although when it sent there for it's MOT they said the front shocks had 'misting' on them.

I would avoid Gilder Audi in Sheffield, I took weeks to get Aux Rads changed under warranty, and they left me with a monster Bonnet Gap.

If you're paying, go to an independent specialist.

York Audi is by far the best Audi Dealer in my area, Leeds, Harrogate and Hull are shockingly bad.

Give York a call, they have sorted ALL my issues out in the past, infact my car is booked in again with them for a service next week
