Hi,

Just wondered if anyone knows of a good product to remove some unwanted Tar spots?

Cheers

Autoglym tar spot removal works very well, or washing up liquid!

Must keep the cloth clean

Interestingly.... I bought a bottle of the Autoglym tar remover a few weeks ago (still haven't got around to using it).

When in the supplier, I asked "whether petrol wouldn't work just as well?" . Think he mumbled something about "special ingredients".

Anyway....when I got home and looked at the ingredients.... it's Petroleum.
Save your cash and just use unleaded, as suggested.

Petrol is good for the big ones.
I then follow it up with a clay bar, I use Autoglym's Surface detailing kit at the mo, dead quick and easy and a perfect surface to receive wax.

Thanks for the post, I was wondering the same.. annoying those tar bits! I'll try some WD40, the unleaded, then autoglym's very own unleaded.. ..

WD is perfect for it. We get ALLOT of tar on our tarmac rally car, the WD40 melts it away.
