Had mine fitted by AMD Technik - based in Lakeside which isnt that far from Dartford. Did a great job and the car handles so much better.

Better than what - a faulty DRC system or a working one? Only wondering as I rate the DRC highly when it's fault free...jusw wrote:Did a great job and the car handles so much better

jusw, how many hours labour to have yours fitted?
I presume the old DRC just needed capping off with no major issues? and did the KWs come with the caps or did you need to purchase those separately?

Might as well well take it out the whole drc system whilst you're there.
Re: Fitting KW Variant 3 Coilover
As above AMD in Essex, they seem to have a better reputation these days. Im in Kent and drove upto MRC to have them fitted when I had some other work done. What setting are you having on them? I think its best that you have them set up by somebody who knows what they are doing rather than just any "back street" garage (AMD will be perfect for this as they prep race cars).
From what I remember I had mine set at 6 rebound,7 bump and ride medium (So not exactly hard or soft) height 20mm drop all round, combined with the uprated ARBs it does make for a harsher ride, but so much control when your giving it pedal to the metal.
I agree with Dom81 also, DRC is awesome when its working. coilovers vs DRC is just so many pros and cons for both.
Not sure about the blanking caps. I kept my DRC system in place in case I wanted to put it back in (I saved the OEM suspension struts).

Thanks Justin, ill give AMD a call see what they say.
Sonny not to sure on settings!?Was thinking maybe soft? as the car is used as a family car at the weekend and didnt want the ride to be to back brakeing! My car has ss+ and love the way it handles, but would like it to sit a bit lower.was thinking maybe 20mm all round.
What Arbs have you upgraded to and what sort of money ami looking at?
Thanks for your help guys

Re: Fitting KW Variant 3 Coilover
Soft will be ok I guess, as your already on SS+ you must be used to a much harsher ride anyway, so it might just be the same. Im also led to believe RS4s with the SS+ have thicker ARBs over standard, so this may work in your favour. Im running the Hotchkis uprated ARBs front and rear. Brilliants on fast road/track driving, but of a bit of a pain on bad road surface/potholes.dickytrickster wrote:Thanks Justin, ill give AMD a call see what they say.
