The Rob Chorley of Camberley Audi appreciation thread

I would like to show my appreciation for Mr. Rob Chorley of Camberley Audi. He singlehandedly has restored my faith in the car industry and car dealerships. I've never felt at ease about handing over my pride and joy to a dealership until I bought my RS4 and started using Camberley Audi for any work on it.
But it's the booking in and collection handled by Rob Chorley that is the true icing on the cake. As well as being a top bloke, Rob's enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism is amongst the very best that I have ever encountered in a quarter of a century of driving.
So, come on, Colbornes Group and Audi UK: recognise those employees who deliver outstanding service.

Thumbs up again for Audi Camberly, we can only dream that all follow suit. It will be a shame if he ever left.

I wouldn't mind if he moved to Nottingham Audi!

After my recent incident at Cardiff Audi, I made sure that Audi CS knew who'd sorted out booking me in with no drama at all, they were very interested in knowing who and where...
It is a crying shame that Rob is the exception rather than the rule.

Camberley have a great team, and Rob is a fantastic bloke. Very knowledgable and a real petrolhead too!
Don't forget Russell, Martin, and Stuart (and many others) though, as they all add up to make the whole experience brilliant.
Full marks Camberley.

Rob's great, a real enthusiast, but Camberley are superb no matter who you get.
They made a minor mistake with mine recently and offered to pay all my petrol to go back to rectify. Great service.

Had my car recovered to Audi Camberley recently as I didn't want to drive it around too much with a slight coolant leak. I gave Rob's name as the contact at the dealership and forgot about the car as I knew it was in good hands. One of the aux rads was leaking and was replaced under warranty. My front brakes and discs were severely worn so got Camberely to do those as well. My rental car provided by RAC was left at Camberley and Rob sorted out the return. Fantastic service from Audi Camberley again, in particular, Rob. 10/10.
It's customer service like Rob's that makes me want to keep my RS4. For me, car ownership is more than just owning the car. It's the whole after-sales service that is almost as important.

I worked with a large american supermarket and they commissioned an internal study and found that the cost of acquiring new customers works out to be 3-5 times that of keeping existing ones.
After that they instantly changed their refund policy to be pretty much "do whatever the customer wants".
Same goes for car dealers - when my local place (less than 4 miles) refused to even acknowledge the existance of any DRC goodwill I called the next place (20 miles) and before I'd finished the sentence with DRC in it they were already going into detail of what happens, how it works and that if work is required shouldn't need to pay anything.
Guess which place has had all my work since?
It's not just an audi thing though - I've had cars from many different marques from day to day run arounds to full on exotics and it's impossible to predict how the after sales service will be. I've had better service for a car worth 10k than those worth 10x as much. My experience it's purely down to the individual dealer and no way can you take the brand as a guide.
