oh sorry, that was in an RS 6
dont think a stock '4 will get there

Managed a true 171MPH through timing beams at Brunters a couple of years back.
Was about 200rpm off the limiter in 5th gear so still had all of 6th to go but ran out of runway

Previous reports from RS4 owners say that a stock B7 RS4 with standard "155mph" limiter will do 168mph - as indicated on GPS.
Seems quattro GmbH didn't take too much care when calibrating the 155mph limter

Only 160mph but there was traffic so had to be careful.

164mph but same as sonny came across traffic and the thought of a trabant pulling out made me slow down.

Remapped these cars are good for around 175ish, before the aerodynamics force it from going faster.

The RS4 only managed about 130-ish and bottled it.
Had the R6 hitting the rev limiter in top gear, indicating 171 but actual speed would have been closer to 145 - 150.
The R1 I've had up to an indicated 160 before backing off (still plenty of revs left but just no road!)

is your car delimited?
the road tests I've seen have the car limited ~161 mph
seen a few videos w/GPM unrestricted will top 180 mph, it has pretty good aero and gearing
pretty sure the limiter is only in 6th...so you may have got a few mph if you had more road
I've had mine pinned against the limiter for 5 sec or so, so ~160
