Hi all,
I've just updated my iPhone 3GS to the new Apple OS 4.3.1 and now my phone won't sync with the Bluetooth to the car.
I'm sure others have had the same problem, just wondering if anyone has managed to get theirs to work???!
Cheers.

An obvious question but are you sure the bluetooth is on?
I'm running 4.3.1 on an iPhone 4 with no problems

I have 3GS on 4.3.1 and its working fine.
If it's doing a first initial sync then this can take 15 minutes.

Bluetooth is definitely on (never been off) and phone has been synched with car for about a year, no drama's. I've done iPhone software upgrades before and never had to re-sync to the car.
Will give it another bash, but did any of you guys have to re-sync when upgrading the iOS?
Cheers.

When you say "sync" do you mean connect or syncing contacts etc. with the RNS-E ? My Nokia lost its BT connection once & I just deleted the Audi UHV etc. on the phone & re-discovered the RNS-E after a re-boot. BlackBerry just upgraded to OS6 & the BT connection remained working correctly

Cheers MB2, I mean to connect to RNS-E. I know I can't view the contacts due to old firmware.
Will try to delete the Audi UHV and start again if all else fails.

Hi guys,
just picked up my 07 RS4...WOW.
Anyway I am having the same iphone problem. Mine connects for 10 seconds and then disconnects for 10 seconds etc etc. This is not the end of the world but every time it reconnects a get a double BING ! That’s annoying and I’ve only done 20 miles ....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I followed MB2's tip above and the phone now works fine.......... apart from the crap iPhone dock which asks for a command when I go over a bump in the road.

Wireless network use really plays havok with the bluetooth connection.
I have a wireless OBD scanner and this wrecks the voice quality when being used.
I've found that if you have your iphone's wi-fi on and it starts picking up to many networks this causes a delay that makees the audi think the phone has gone out of range.

Maybe this is my problem as i have just deleted the connection and started again but its still connecting and then disconnecting !! My wi-fi is on but it happens on the move( motorway ) so not sure this can be it.....
Will go try again

Yup - it can pickup signals quite far away. Can also happen when you have a reduced signal.
Seems Apple didn't divert enough resources to the bluetooth stack so it drops out when processing other comms stuff.
Might also help to shut down any unwanted apps.
