Parking sensors
I put the car into reverse this morning and got some strange lound beeps in addition to the normal beeps. Also the switch is flashing on the dash. Does anyone know to fix this?
I've tried cleaning all the sensors but no change.
Any tips greatly welcome! Thanks

I think you will need vagcom to get to the bottom of this

Oh no, could be a trip to the dealers then!!
My car is sufferning with this intermittantly at the minute
Dealer diagnosed faulty sensor whilst the car was with them, then quoted £350 to fix it.
Haven't had it fixed yet. As the weather has been drier, the problem has become more sporadic. I'm hoping as spring approaches, more washing will get out any residual grime, and normal service will resume.

The paint on these can corrode and will need replaced in time. I used my vagcom to diagnose which ones were at fault on my car then I ordered them already painted. The ones on the side are different as they are angled out the way. The whole job, parts 2x painted sensors fitting and vat was £167 so £350 is pretty steep!

APS have just replaced one on an RS4 following a diagnostic check which pointed out an issue with 'middle right rear' sensor.
Part is cheap (£60 ish), + paint + bumper off/on, the later being costliest part of job.

I've got the same problem as well! Sensor has been going off when nothing is near it, but only when it's wet. This has been happenign for some time. Then yesterday, stopped working completely and dash button LED flashed. It was OK again this morning.
I guess one of them has a problem - perhaps water's getting onto the contacts?
As mine only goes wrong when it's wet, I may try cleaning them all then waxing in the hope it may keep out the moisture (car hasn't been waxed since the Autumn), but don't know if it'll help.
