Got my car out of the garage today with the DIS showing 8.5 degrees ambient and was surprised the revs didn't stay high for more than a few secs, it's usually 30 secs or so since SW0090 was uploaded.
Anyone else noticed this?

Interesting, As I had SW0090 last Summer and recall it for not holding revs for much longer, I got told off once on here for saying the car had a choke, but it almost acts like it has one specially in cold weather lol

Roger that, mine feels like it has a choke for the first minute or so.
I quite like it actually, the Miltek sounds even louder than normal and if you stick it into third and cruise at 25mph it sounds like a world war one biplane.
Or, like one of the original RS4 reviews said, "sounds like an angry bear being fired from a cannon :) "

The cold start enrichment phase (which is what feels like a choke) only lasts until the temperature sensors on the engine reach a threshold value. SO when it's cold it lasts longer (30 secs or more) than when it's warmer (a few seconds) and when the weather/engine is warmer still the cold start phase never happens at all.
