This is mine from Iraq 2003 when we saw a memorial in the distanec outside Rumalyah(sp) when we got up to it we saw it was dedicated to all the fallen soldiers of the british empire and had survived all that time in the middle of knowhere in Iraq.

Was thousands of names behind me in a long wall. was so surreall.

Over here in Afghanistan do a lot of travelingon the roads, had some friends got hit by an IED (improvised expolsive device) and blew the whole front end of the truck off and flipped it on its side... amazingly..NO ONE was injured and they walked away... the vehicle was destroyed...will never forget that day.. we all are still amazed

I have some scratch X and P2000 grade wet n dry that will have that front end looking like new in no time.
It was very similar to the time I drove too close to an Ivy bush and it ruined the front wing with hair line scratches. I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking of the sound of ivy on paint. :D

In all seriousness I dont know how you do it mate, I would be shitting a brick 24/7. With out wanting to sound cheesy....maximum respect to you and your colleagues.

thanks guys...

been in for 20 yrs now.. 4-5 deployment (cant keep track)... to me its a job.. that has to be done..

on a brighter note.. my RS4 is "suppose" to get delivered today. all the bad weather in the United States (texas to oklahoma) has pretty much made it impossible to get it to my house. Funny part is i bought the car 08 daytona grey with 18k miles and i haven't sat in it, driven it or even seen it with my own eyes. i bought it as a early birthday/ deployment present. Sold my STI for it but im pretty sure im gonna be happy.

Great pics there guys, well seeing as we are getting the war pics out.

Here is a pic of me (on left) when I was dong some privet work in Iraq (2006). We had just been in a city meeting and on our return out of the city we got ambushed, we had been set up. Lucky we got out of that one, no one hurt. Note the bullet holes in back of Suburban. The RPG percussion took the rear windows out (soft skin). Was actually funny, some militia at the side off the road shooting at us point blank with a PKM, well we laughed about it after.

Luckily the vehicle had B6 armour. 8)
