Should be picking up my new car next week. A gleaming black avant with optics.
This is my second RS4, I had a saloon from new in 2007 and after a few other cars in between this will be my fun practical type car to sit alongside our familly car.
Spec wise its an 07 Avant with buckets and flat bottom wheel, carbon inlays and SS+, the previous owner, Stoddie who used to be on here has kept it looking immaculate and was kind enough to respond to my questions as he pex it against a GTR.
Theres actually a DVD player in the headlining so that should be interesting.
Heres a picture from the dealer.

Well done for getting the car, just a pity he had flogged the GruppeM before you bought it!

I gather the headliner DVD is a retrofit? If you have pics at some poiint that would be great as I'm looking at something like this for the chimps for next year.

Yes, plan is to keep this indefinatley. I have had that many new cars and lost that much money that I want something that will be a future classic.
Also plan to get a Miltek non resonated valved system on asap and bring the grill rings back to oem and then the only thing left is to get bluetooth retro fitted. The rest is staying stock.

Good plan, Im surprised Audi did not replace the rings. I dont know if the rings can be replaced separately or if they come as part of the grill surround. I know when I had the optics fitted it was one unit.

Its actually being sold by a Nissan GTR specialist and they didnt really anticpate the interest they had on the car. Had it been an Audi garage it would have been up for 36k + but obviously you get the warranty although this one is supplied with three months warranty and has 18 months left on the DRC extended warranty. Its had two owners, full history and 17.5k miles so hopefully its a good car, touch wood!

great example!

the rings were put on seperately - so can be removed easily. actually come off just by pulling them with your fingers so its not even a grill off job.

car also has bluetooth - i replaced the center console and removed the phone holder. if you need the charging point the cables are behind the stereo.

Also has the hazydaze set up for the ipod. roof mounted dvd was a retrofit by its last owner - alpine unit with one pair of wireless headphones and a remote.

good luck with the car fella - it really is spotless :)
