Red/Black/Blue - Help me decide what Colour to buy

Post by steve_70 » Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:08 pm

Evening all 8)

After ruling out the other colours I have narrowed it down to either Black, Misano Red or Sprint blue and with the Black Optics pack and the Titan colour Wheels.

With all other things being equal I am really undecided as to which of the 3 colour choices to go with, if all 3 were lined up and I could have the choice of any.

Would like to hear your comments/ thoughts please... any negative and postives for each colour, or just perceptions please.

I know people will say they prefer daytona/ silver but too similar to what I have had with my previous cars and what is on the close with neighbours; there is an Avus Avant Special Edition with the black trim/ wheels, theres a Silver A3 and also a silver 335i, a silver corsa and a silver focus so looking for something different amongst them.

This will be my next project car and will be used as the basis of a show n shine car and will be detailed within an inch of its life

Thanks all :thumb:

Great stuff thanks all

I am looking for something that will show off the detailing results as best as possible. Maybe like to get into it as more than just a hobby and do mobile detailing (either people who have just bought, winter protection, maint plans etc, or people preparing to sell, make car look factory) this would be a great demo project as can turn up with all the kit in the boot

I feel these colours will show results better. Trying to get depth from a silver/gray is fighting a battle you will never win due to the characteristics of the paint and laws of physics and light. Although i did get some pretty spectacular results on my White Evo which is hard to achieve often with whites.

Sprint blue matey, an RS should be in an RS only colour IMO.

As above ref the black, a gleaming black car always looks amazing so could be beneficial for your potential venture?

Mine is black but I wanted that for stealth. Voted Misano as there are less about, but either that or Sprint for you I'd say.

Sorry, but did I mention I am a pic-whore also
