Hi. I'm new here. Previously owned a 5.6L V8 Ford in Australia, but now that I'm in the UK I'm looking to get my hands on one of these RS4 beauties.

Are there any common major problems I should look out for when shopping for one of these?

Also I keep seeing the term FASH appear in ads. What does this stand for?

When are the minor and major service intervals due?

This probably sounds really stupid, but how can you tell if there is a problem with the DRC? Is there any tale tale signs I should pay particular attention to during test drives?

knocking sound ... really bad handling

look for misting, moistness on the outside of the shocks (if you look inside the arch)

Audi should cover DRC up to 5 years via goodwill assuming FASH

1 year or 10,000 miles (whichever comes first) on fixed servicing. If it's on variable servicing (up to 2 years or 20,000 miles) then get it moved onto fixed servicing.

98 EU RON (93 US MON/RON average). So stick to super unleaded in the UK. You can use regular (95) if it's that or run dry, it won't cause any damage as the timing will be adjusted by the knock sensors - but you will be well down on power.

mine is marked:
91 (US) (R + M)/2
95 RON

probably because 93 is not available in some areas/states
