not by choice though, she picked it over the M3 for temporary duty... "it's swoopy" lol, hers is in the shop...

not making light of it but an axe fell off a lawn truck and went thru her Mini windshield!
glanced off the hood, edge first, straight thru, between front seats, and 1/2 thru the rear seat...
the thing must have been moving fast, barely cracked the window, just 'sliced' thru...

thank goodness it did not hit her, or that the dogs were not with her...

not good

I have some pics...and the axe head

it's at the insurance adjusters today getting reviewed

it's got an aluminum hood, not going to be cheap
the car is 1.5 years old and only has 7k miles on it...
I want oem windshield, hood, etc.

she does look 'cute' tooling around in the little red sportscar though :D

Blimey that's a real freak accident. Very lucky she wasn't hurt.

I had a mate who was driving down the M1 in an old shaped mini when a socket flicked up from the road, went through the windscreen and knocked him out. Luckily he got away with it, wrote off the car but was out of hospital in a day.

I've not any pictures, but less than a week into a new job and a new company car (2.0 Gt Tdi Golf)...

I was driving along the Fosse Way, when an articulated lorry flicked up 1/4 - 1/2 a standard house brick that was lying on the road. In slow motion i watched the brick being flicked up into the air, and it looked like it was heading directly for me towards the A pillar. The next thing I know is that there is an almighty bang but all of the windows were ok.

I pulled over as soon as it was safe to do so and got out, i was greeted by a large hole in my drivers side wing caused by the brick piercing it. Slightly different timing could have seen a very different and gruesome outcome.
