Anyone with VagCom in Derby area?

Post by RS4_Nick » Tue Sep 28, 2010 7:31 pm

Hi

A have a few niggles with my car and wondered if someone with Vagcom could help.

1. Two of the tyre pressure monitors were unable to be removed whilst having new tyres recently. These were not replaced and as a result I get a beep everytime I start the car with a constant reminder on the DIS with TPMS displayed. To be honest I'm loathed to pay out for replacement sensors as I see no value in them and therefore cannot justify the outlay.
Can the sensors be disabled?

2. The seatbelt chime at over 20mph is annoying. Without boring you with why I don't like the chime can this be disabled also? I don't have a problem with the dash indicating seatbelt is off, just the chime.

3. This isn't so bad but can the autowipers be reverted to manual? i.e. the intermittent control works on timing rather than timing/amount of rain drops on the sensor.

Hoping someone can advise, thanks.

1 can be coded it out though I like TPMS :)
You can get new sensors from GSF for less than Audi (£100 pair)

2 I wear a seat belt religiously but I disable this on all my cars, again it can be coded out

3 Good question, beyond me.

I am near J3 M42 if you are passing
