Have you worked out final costs as yet for the kit and fitting?

£8882+vat for the kit
Fitting is 15 hours.
Cleaning the intake ports is around 6-7 hours (after 800 miles of testing no carbon build up yet)
Tuning and dyno time is on top of this.
I am buying a B7 to carry on testing a kit as our customer has been great upto letting us do this much testing and development. THis car has done more dyno time and road testing than any car we have done so far.

Thanks Doug, have you strengthened any parts of the engine or is it a straight (as straight as these instals are!) bolt on? Are you keeping records of engine component wear as well or is that the reason for your own RS4 development car? I am curious about the clutch and gearbox in particular being able to handle the increased power.
Excellent job BTW.

What meathod are you using to check/measure the carbon build-up Doug?

Sub 7sec 3-8k run, I do love that noise, sounds great.
Sounds like you and the boys Doug have been hard at work on this one. Have you fitted the Meth yet?

carbon build up is a visual check - easy on this car has it has injector holes in the manifold so we can see down! This car is getting an 8 port water/meth kit fitted.
No internals touched on this car.
This car already had the sachs clutch kit fitted.
My car - I will keep stock clutch to test to destruction - I want to test this setup like I test most of my cars - at the ring - 20 laps gives it plenty of abuse - my customer has been good and wants me to do timed runs but I just don't like doing lots of that on someone elses car.

Which water / meth kit did you plump for Doug as there appears to be at least 6 variants around?
