Avant 5,199

Total 14,355

Too many IMO , but it looks like the Cab might become a collectable later on

Whats the UK breakdown numbers?

Not sure where you got these but they don't look right. The information is publicly available in the Audi annual reports from 2005 - 2009 if anyone cares.

Just checked the Audi Annual Reports for 2005 - 2009. Figures in there are:

Saloon Avant Cab
2008 320 330 201
2007 2401 2191 700
2006 4384 2666 589
2005 556
2004 4

7665 5187 1490 = 14,342

Thanks, so we are in the same ball park 99.9% (cab numbers are 13 adrift), rather than the 30k numbers that had previously been bandied around. At least that has been put to rest.

so it's more rare than a Gtr...
and they're still making Gtr's (gawd knows why)

5199 Avants worldwide is not really a high number, only when compared to RS2, B5 RS4 and RS6 Plus.

As said previously with the number now appearing in scrap yards I would hazard a guess that at least 2% are now off the road permanently.

Several of us have tried to get those numbers from Audi UK, me included, but they seem unwilling/unable to provide them.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there's an official registration database (not DVLA) that has the figures, but I can't remember where - anyone know/remember?

The DVLA will, for a fee, provide you with this information. I did a classic car insurance programme some years ago and they were able to provide useful stats. Numbers registered; un-registered; exported etc etc.

No idea what the cost is these days..........
