Arther I think my tyres are shot, but thanks
RS4414, you should take her on a track, many track day organisers run novice only days, you can always hire a instructor to teach you the lines too (norm around £20 for 20 min), or likewise do a driving course. You don't have to drive like Mansel.

Really good to see and hear the car being used for what it was made for. Road driving can be a constant speedo watching excercise sometimes!

No you must get on there and bed 'em in lol
TBH I really must put a new set on for my Ring trip as mine are shot now. (2 Brands sessions =220 laps, Silverstone 130 laps, 12 laps of the ring and 5k of norm road use) al on the same tyres, there still legal and have only just started to show signs of wearing on the front left.

Hi Sonny,
In case you are interested. Basic spec Exige lap at Brands vid below. Hope you don't mind but I noticed some places where you could go quicker. Might be useful next time you go.

Thanks Chris, that some good driving, my fastest lap I managed was a 00.59.33. ( his in that link was 57s) not bad lol
The thing with these cars are the weight as you know, Im having to break a lot earlier, admitly I would still regard my self as a Track novice.
Also agree, I was experimenting with my lines at Druids, I was only using gears 3 and 4 throughout the practise.

0.59 is not a bad time though! You mention Druids and I see that you could use more of the track on the exit. I guess you really feel the RS4's weight particularly braking for Graham Hill Bend.
Are you finding you are still getting a fair bit of understeer? I'm not sure if you still have some adjustment left with your Hotchkis ARB set up to go more aggressive on the rear? Maybe it's just the weight of car with heavy engine up front. As I've not driven my RS4 around Brands maybe I'm not in the best position to advise/comment. I can tell you that an Elise is awsome around there with an amazing stomach in mouth feeling as you drop out of Padock Hill Bend. Must go back soon

The ARBs are set up to the max setting, the KWv3 are set to 7 bound 8 rebound (medium setting),Yes it does understeer, im actually thinking of putting back the front OEM ARB, this should minimize the understeer. However lift-off oversteer seems to be pretty easy.
Top speed was 135mph on Brabham straight (don't look it in the vid), hard breaking prior to Paddock hill bend, the car has a tendency to fish tail.
Im going to Brands gain in August .
