What if...no RS4?

Say, if in 3 years or so, there's still rumours of no new RS4 coming (B9 or B10), what would anyone here consider swapping up for?
The new shape 4 is growing on me & i really do hope they build an RS but i found myself looking for alternatives today. I dont think i coukd settle for an S4 after being in the monster!

C6 RS6 or R8 V10 Spyder. There are no cars out there of similar size, build quality, ergonomics, reliability and performance plus all round ability I would have, not even the C63.

Funnily enough it was the C63 i was looking at mostly.
Seconds thoughts about the b8 s4 - it should be quite tunable so may be an option, but still wouldnt be a real alternative IMO.

B8 S4 may be tunable and get good reports but IMO is a bland barge looking car and has no character and those huge EU spec mirrors and a real detraction.

I drove the C63 down at Brooklands test track for a good few hours, also the CLS63. splendid car, awesome power, great sound (It made the RS4 feel like a go-kart afterwards) however On the skid pan this car is just uncontrollable. if it snows at home forget this car!
Like you I would so like a C63 but as on other threads what really comes close to the RS4 in terms of power and refinement.
If I was to sell up, I would get a SR3 Radical as track toy and prob as old style A3 as a daily runner. however I do change my mind like the weather lol

Well, a current S4 Avant passed me today and it did make a nice noise, I have to admit.
Notwithstanding this, a C63 AMG or, if not an only car, a used 997 turbo would have to be on the list.

my best friend has just picked up a Lexus IS-F...53k new, 15 months old, paid 31k from a lexus dealer.
its awesome..bit jap inside, but mega build quality and the engine is incredible
tempted me, and i dont like jap cars....
if you get chance, go and have a drive in one, purely for reference.
proper thing

for me, next car maybe a 911 (997) turbo, GT-R or an R8. not really practical equivalents of the RS4 but just what I'm looking at next.
evo tested the RS5 recently and said yes its quicker than the B8 S4 car they were using as the tracking camera car(obviously) but that the S4 was pretty quick and held off the RS5 pretty well.

CAR magazine reports that B8 will get the RS5 engine but guess we will have to wait and see. Likewise nothing out there that comes close in all round useability. C6 RS6 possibly or MTM B8 S4\S5 Sportback.

I heard that the Lexus IS-F has one exhaust that is for show only, can anyone confirm - that would really annoy me and stop me buying it. I'd get the GT-R, I really would.

I probably would give the new M3 some consideration...if we had more than one month of sunshine a year!
Going in circles can be fun,but not towards trees at 70 cos your rwd ass decided to kick out cos its raining
