New RS4 owner

Post by bentara » Sat May 29, 2010 10:33 pm

Hi,
Recently bought a 2007 avant with 20k miles.
The car has full milltek exhaust system, not sure if it has been remapped or not.
Few queries with it,wonder if other members have experienced the same.
In mornings it coughs and splutters a bit until it gets some temperature up on the clock, first mile or more.
When it is gunned hard through the gears it smokes a wee bit.
Are these two things normal ?
Cheers
Brendy.

Completely normal, these cars do take a while to warm up.. just dont worry about it and enjoy the additional roar! :)

Welcome to the forum, great car there. as above, SW0090 (the latest software update) cured rough start up to include excessive smoke, and jerky ride when cold. Any pics?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Most smoke a tad when they are run to the limiter (on changing gear) - I also worried a bit but it seems norm.
