RS4 Warranty
RS4 Warranty
My 3 yr warranty runs out end of June, can anyone advise a good non-audi insurer?

there are a number of topics on this matter but dont seem to come to a conclusion except to buy or not to buy the audi one.
Im in the same position as yourself except need one for when my current audi extended one runs out. Just cant stomach £1.6k.
I have been looking at Warrantywise - been offered 3 free extra additions (such as Multi Media System, Air Bag System, Air Conditioning System, Catalytic Convertor, Alloy Wheels, Tyre Insurance, MOT Failure Cover etc etc)
Who knows until someone takes the plunge!

I extended warranty for my 4th year. but now it has expired I will put money into the RS4 slush fund, you know that big dark money pit...
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

I do think that if the Audi warranty cost was, say £1,200, most people would just renew earning Audi dealers valuable work.
If we can get 50, or even 25 signatures, I believe we can approach Audi and put forward our representations (together with back-up from all the favourite Dealers).
The choice, as they say, is yours.
BMW & Porsche warranties are cheaper, and many will say a lot better cover.

Sounds good to me, but this would not be sorted in the next month. I contacted warranty direct today. Audi recomended them to me when I picked up my car today!! Got a quote for £750.00 with a £50 excess. Not seen full details of cover yet but sounds good!!

what happened to me seems to have been a total freak incident so I wouldnt worry about your engine dying.
My salary is going up considerably come the summer so if anything does go tits up then I will be able to cover it anyway.
Sonny - I'm planning on investing in some anti-roll bars, some sports cats and an MRC remap in the next 12 months, then I might be able to keep up with you on track!!

All sounds good, but the single most important upgrade is investing in driver training. The benefit is instant, on all cars, and for everpsg001 wrote: Sonny - I'm planning on investing in some anti-roll bars, some sports cats and an MRC remap in the next 12 months, then I might be able to keep up with you on track!!
That's a useful safety net, and a not a lot of money. So why does Audi need to charge 4 times as much...scottie1979 wrote:click4warranty 'seems' good value
£489 for 12 months cover of their top policy with a £7000 claim limit including 4x4, ABS and air con coverage added on top.
However this only covers labour rates up to £37 per hour (equiv to Nationwide garage outside London) which aint so good. Enquiry pending...
I agree with jonathonturner and priyan. Warranty cover for your RS 4 is subjective. I'm in my 4th year of ownership and havn't bothered twice. It ran for 3 years with no problems whatsoever so I didn't see the point in forking out for a warrany given that over the length of term any new faults would still be within a reasonable cost of ownership. Front shocks were replaced in year 4 but these are covered anyway by the DRC issue. Audi charge the same price for any of their cars over 3.0 litres so the high cost is nothing to do with it being an RS4.
The cars are built with expensive components so it's about risk and whether you want to spend the cash on an exhaust, wheels or other tuning stuff. If you bought one second hand and want the security then you might want the extra bit of cover but you're still saving £20K+ on what they were new!
