It is all worth it.......

I occasionally think about getting rid of my rs4
costs too much
too thirsty
road tax...ouch
expensive to repair / maintain
depreciates
renew warranty / don't renew
it kind of drives me mad as:
have to park it away from other cars
keep it clean
stop my kids dribbling all over it
friends lecturing me about carbon emissions
worry about:
will someone try to steal it (they got my friends RS4)
Does it make 420bhp (joke
will the Mrs kerb the wheels, ding it, crash it
people hitting it - I live in a city and already had the wing mirrors re arranged (non folding)
Then today the sun comes out. I take it the twisty road to work, hit the sport button and it all melts away. Suddenly the mpg doesn't matter and all I care about is listening to the V8 firing me out of corners and the grip, so much grip. I have an avant and when I get out after some back road driving I cant believe I have been driving a family car - it seems to feel smaller than it is at speed and I love the fact it is adjustable on the throttle / brakes, and the noise - I love my RS4

You're going to have to think long and hard and scratch the bottom of your pockets to come up with a replacement. Speak to anyone who has owned one and now has something else.......they all wished they hadn't changed

All of the above and:
You begin to take the performance and handling for granted - then you drive another car... If it's as fast, it's usually uncomfortable, if it's as comfortable, it's generally slow!
Then factor in other RS4 advantages like the kudos of ownership. Just the right balance of performance without being labelled a flash <beep>. This does have some less obvious advantages.
I got pulled over by the police recently for pretty obvious speeding, but they were so interested in the car and asking questions they seemed to forget about fining me...

The next day I drove into a private car park and they let me park for free just becuase they liked the noise as I was maneouvring...
It's not perfect - but it's a tough act to follow. Next RS4 maybe?????

I'm so looking forward to fully stretching the cars capabilities in Europe the week after next, you just can't do it often enough in the UK.

I'll be keeping mine for a while
it's a great package, the quality of build is top shelf...
I enjoy myself every time I drive it

Nah, we'll just post up some pics when we are over there. Looking forward to the one of all of us at the top of the Stelvio Pass!

I cant think of a replacement until the new one comes along (hopefully). I cant decide if I like the car more in the wet or the sun - wet I think, then I am dumb struck by its abilities. I had it out in the alps this year and drove my Mrs crazy with sideways antics on winter rubber - nice.
All this talk.... I am going to leave work shortly and take it for a spin on the back roads. I like motorbikes and it has been a long time since I have enjoyed a car this much and take it out just to drive it.....I may be some time

I think I'd rather read something like this than the constant fighting that's been going on in some of the other threads

Could not agree more with all of the above.
To make matters worse i,m without my baby for approx 7 days while she is in getting accident damage repaired. (only minor maybe new N/S wing).
I have been given a 57plate SAAB 9/3 ESTATE....WHAT A PIECE OF <beep>.....1.8Turbo...slow,wallowly,build quality absolute <beep> and it stinks of fag smoke.
Only slight plus is i absolutely rag the arse of it..drive it like i stole it...(sorry its the childish side of me!!) the up side to courtesy cars.
When you drive a piece of tat like that you really do appriciate how dynamically good the rs4 is...
