Last week's feature on the RS4 v Mitsubishi Evo X.
The local newsagents have sold out while autocar.co.uk and google don't help.
Thanks.

Find it hard to believe that they thought the ride was too hard and it would be difficult to live with as an every day motor. Is it just me but I find it just about perfect not too soft not too hard.

Totally agree !!
If you look at the car they used it sits very low, i reckon it's fitted with the optional stiffer sports suspension.
I e mailed David Vivian pointing this out but have had no reply unless there is an answer in tomorrow's edition.

I skim read the article a couple of days ago; if we're looking at criticising poor day-to-day usefulness there was no mention (as far as I recall) of the Evo's compromised boot space and lack of folding rear seats - oh, and the fact that the washer bottle's in the boot so get the water/detergent mix wrong and it freezes.

I don't understand how people can market cars like the Evo and IS-F as "family sports saloons" yet don't incorporate features that a family might need (five seats as opposed to the four seats in the IS-F, no folding rear seats in both the IS-F and the Evo X). If you only want, or can only afford to run, one car you want it to be able to do as much as possible, right?

Cant agree with the hard suspension comments, perhaps the car tested has ss setup? The suppleness of the rs4 after years of rock hard set ups to get decent handling was a breath of fresh air when i bought the b7 rs4.The evo seems quick enough but i just could not justify 40k on such a poor quality interior,il happily hand over a touch of perfomance to sit in a cabin carved from granite lol,I get to use the full potential of the rs4 maybe 20% of the time but enjoy the quality and cabin 100% of the time

I hope there depreciation predictions are right on the rs4 but cant quite see it only falling £6k in 3yrs but wouldnt compain if it did!

Not for a while yet, separate trackday cover is prohibitive.
