super six dilema - whats the beef with these rs4's then....?

Post by white23 » Tue Apr 20, 2010 3:07 pm

perhaps a crisis of confidence but I have a dilema on my hands:Firstly, for those of you who don't like people who own an rs6 for a year, realise the cost of upkeep and then get rid at dog sh1t prices let me assure you in the time I've owned my car since Nov I've had: new power steering, new front and rear bumper/parking sensor/full body detail/leather treatment/full service/2 new tyres (about to get two more) and nik naks touched up. I paid 15k and I'll be looking for the same IF I sell. Anyway, my crisis is this; my wife is p1ssed off with me continually 'doing stuff' to the car so I'd been thinking of an alternative, potentially ie a newer nice car that needs less doing to it... BUT:The options I have considered are:

1. RS4 saloon – looks lovely but it doesn’t give much room for my 4.5 stone bull terrier who happily fits in my 6avant
2. RS4 avant – doesn’t look as nice as the saloon and looks like the baby brother of a 6
3. BMW M Sport touring – stupid money can’t afford
4. BMW Ms E90 – lovely (see RS4 re dog)
5. S6 C6 shape – looks a bit toothless compared to super six (nowhere near as attractive)
6. tick with what I’ve got I’m being stupid.
answers on a postcard pls.....

RE point 2 - no offence intended at all, it was just my first impression and don't get me wrong its a nice looking car. Maybe it sour grapes because I can't afford the new shape RS6 :-)

Re dog tube - nice one, didn't think of that. But my first thought was "I can't put the dog on the roof!" ha-ha-ha...
