INCHCAPE Warranty

As some here will be aware I've been trying to find a warranty worth its weight to cover my '06 RS4.
In the end the one that seems to pay out best was the INCHCAPE Warranty, here's the deal
You can put it on a car but it needs to undergo a two hour inspection at a cost of £211.50p, the cost of the policy is £799 for 12 months or £999 for 24m, that price is for level "A" cover and includes the recovery package for cars up to 5 years old and less than 60k miles
I have uploaded the policy document below and please read the thread below to see that they do pay out and that Grizz of Unit 20 gives it his blessing and of course any Inchcape Audi dealer!

(They also offer level B but that's for cars above 60k or 5 years old and covers far less)

Sonny, Yes I'm going for this one - booked in for the inspection tha it should pass as it was in Audi Cheshire Oaks last week and had a good once over, it was at this inspection they found my oil cooler to be leaking.
Klauster, The 5 year / 60k is at inception, the policy is unlimited miles, Im on 58k myself

OK then that is good. would be worth doing the 2 year option imo I will look into this myself.
Do the engineers come out to you to inspect the car? and more to the point are they Mod friendly? (I did browse the cover)

BONUS! Got the paper docs through today and it also covers MOT test cover up to £500 but ONLY at an Inchcape dealer;-)
And the warranty / MOT test / recovery is transferable to the next owner.
The engineers sometimes come out but if you take it to an Inchcape dealer this may be minimised and claims are settled direct - check with Grizz (Martin) at Unit20 about the Mod bit as mines 100% Standard.

For comparison, I was quoted £699 for 1 year / £849 2 years and £999 3 years for this policy excluding the roadside recovery, with an inspection fee of £199 plus VAT - that was from Crawley Audi.
My warranty expires in June and I'm seriously considering a 3 year warranty under this scheme - as you say it's also transferrable provided you sell the car privately - so good news come resale time.

No I didn't. I test drove one there - but then found out a work collegue was selling his - Crawley Audi car was a 57 saloon with 34k miles up for £36,500, I got an 07 Avant with 29.5k miles for £32k. Having to spend just over £1k on brakes and service, and if I can sort out a warranty for the prices above then I'm quids in against what the dealer car would have cost me.
The prices above were quoted based on them selling just the warranty knowing the car was not bought from them.
Loving the car so far!

If that one at Crawley Audi was silver then I think I drove it too! You did well to steer clear of it as it was over priced and had clutch judder. Not to mention the sales bloke was the worst I've ever encountered.....

It was a silver one. I also thought it was overpriced - MFSW and "comfort" seats both of which I didn't really want. Clutch seemed ok when I drove it. I had a female salesperson - she was ok but I could spot the sales "closing" lines a mile off! I have had very bad experience with their sales staff a few years ago - they completely ignored my wife even though she was stood right next to me! I bought elsewhere that time needless to say!
Don't know if that price includes the MoT warranty thing - and I don't have any contact details (I went into the showroom one lunchtime as I work in Crawley.
