B7 Vag-Com

Post by rsubc » Thu Apr 08, 2010 11:31 am

Hi all,

I am thinking of purchasing Vag-Com, and was wondering if there is anyone in the lanarkshire area who uses it on there RS4, who would be willing to give me a bit of a demo on what can be done with it and whats all needed to be purchased to get the best from it.

Thanks & Regards

Richard

VCDS/vagcom is about 250, you can buy from the US or in the UK I bought mine from Ilexa - depends on Ex Rate/VAT which works out cheaper unless know someone in US who can bring over for you.

To get going you need a laptop & the car then just play around, there are a few mods you can make - locking, lights etc. but first time you have an error come up is great as can see what is what & hopefully fix/reset yourself.

Some good demos here http://www.ilexa.co.uk/diagnostic-tools ... -vcds.html

There's a new Beta version of VCDS - 10.3.0 - available free to all owners of a genuine Ross-Tech lead (as are all software updates).
