56 RS4
Normally you pull the key out and the radio turns off, all of a sudden it stays on and I have to press and hold the stereo button to make it power off!! Worried that it still may drain the battery this way.
Audi RNSE nav version - no idea of software version but think it has been updated by Audi in it's time!! Just out of warranty!!
Anyone seen this before or know anything I can try??

Never seen this before but know that the stereo on/off is controlled via the CAN-BUS. This means that power is on to the stereo all the time and is switched on and off by the engine/car management so there should be no worries about a flat battery once the stereo is switched off. Doesn't help with the fault but should give you some peace of mind about the battery.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about the Audi CAN-BUS to be of any real use on the actual fault but would suggest the first thing to try would be a reboot/reset of the RSN-E head unit. Can't remember exactly how it's done but I'm sure I read how to do it on a thread on here so might be worth a search (or another member will give a quick reminder). If that fails then I'm all out of guesses I'm afraid other than checking what revision software the RSN-E is running. If less that v0650 then worth an update to see if that cures. You can either buy a 2008 satnav DVD off fleabay for around £60 which will also update the maps to 2008 or you can do a search online and download v0650, burn it to DVD and then load it. I went for the £60 lazy option recently to cure some other bugs with the shuffle function.

by bye bye
Annoying ! I agree. A major issue? No.
It'll turn itself off after 30 mins.
It annoys me that if you leave it on and get out, when you get in it is on...annoying when on the phone and not concentrating!!

Just remembered that the alarm went off accidentally 2 days ago when I locked the car with the Mrs and daughter in there when jumping out to get some milk!! Any ideas if that has somehow done something? Reset alarm or something??
