That seems unbelievable  - there much have been other issues, notwithstanding the limitations of a RR.

I meant issues with the cars.

yes, thats paramount, dont think it was the very last one, must have been the one before...I went to the last one

numbers varied, Raudiguy got the best figures, around the 420 mark, his is modified though

but lets not start a whole "oh no, my RS4 is down on power because the oracle that is the RR says so, im gonna jump off a cliff now with a plastic bag over my head"

when they did my RS 6, the best they got was 420, the worst was something like 360 - 370

a 50bhp variance was enough for me not to care what it said

oh, and the car was 100% healthy (had MRC health check the next wkend)

It was the first one that Jim organised. Mac and Klauster were hugely down on power, but both got it sorted in the end. I think it was Scaghead who had the video camera, but could be wrong

Just to really kill the RR god....

mine was one of the cars down on power at the last paramount day which sent me scurrying off to have it looked at....

Anyway Audi dealer inspection, Audi specialist investigation, comparison with another B7 on the road later and everybody's stumped....
Put on another DynoDynamics in shootout mode and I'm up 50 bhp from before.

I much prefer the E92 M3 test lol

End figures should be ignored on RR days due to the variences that have been discussed to death on here over the past year. That said, if results show you are noticably down on power compared to other (same) cars on the same day on the same rollers then you probably are..

What I don't get with the E92 test is on every independent video drag I've seen the M3 is noticably quicker In a straight line than the RS4, even without the new, excellent & quicker still DCT box.

The RS4's party piece isn't striaght line acelleration but it's alround excellence across all areas :)

As I think Camberley Audi have found, one of the major culprits for cars that don't produce the power is corrosion of the electrically switched Intake Air Switch Over Valve which opens the power flap in the airbox above 5000rpm.

My car has always produced the characteristic dyno plot with its kink above 5500rpm but nevertheless mine was found to be corroded at AVS2 and was replaced under warranty.

Obviously if this flap does not open, the dyno plot will be relatively flat above 5500rpm.
