Yes, unless you have a digital Set-up.

Craigy B can fit it for you, not sure on costs if you are upgrading from analogue but it's around £1200 from stratch.

Swapped my analogue tuner to digital with Craigy B. It was £600. Reception is pretty good, and it's great to get a wider channel choice, especially the kids channels, for when they are in the car.

I came very close to getting this, but wanted to see it on someone else's first before I committed myself.

Do you get all free view channels then, also can you pick up Digi radio?

I didn't have the OE Audi digi, but an Alpine one.

And yes you could pick up Digi radio channels with that. And yes freeview too.

I may have to look into getting one then, I believe its yes the module from a A3/TT, shame the RS4 never had it as a option really.

some crazy prices being quoted here, a decent alpine freeview box will cost less than £300 and then you just need to get it installed and should not cost more than £500 installed from scratch, for anyone that wants to get it done try caraudiosecurity.com based in hayes middx you wont find any better people to do the job

1) To keep the kids entertained...

2) To watch the news and weather reports when you are stuck for hours in a traffic jam in the snow. I spent 4 hours in a jam last week, and some people spent 24+ hours stuck in their cars.

Well can I ask is there any of the after market digital tuners really any better than the next ? You know the way normally one or two stand out in the crowd for quality but are usually that bit more expensive. Is that the case too with digital tuners ? I was thinking of getting an Alpine one to go with my Alpine head unit for my second car so interested in your thoughts.......

Cheers !
