Can someone explain

Post by johninspain » Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:15 pm

why are cars so much more expensive out here ? Im paying 40K for an 2006 RS4, fully loaded with 76000 kms. and thats a cheap one !

Just looked at a Farrari Califonia with 10,000kms, it works out at 206,000 euros, about 50k more than the uk.

Take a look about www.coches.net its unreal !

Was in Courchevel over the Hols, [drove down] saw a RS4 B7 2007 going for 70k euros and another 06 for 56k. Obviously they were LH Drive but in the uk they usually work out cheaper.

Any LH rs4 going for sale?????

I think its the exchange rates the £ has a lot less buying power than it used to so when converting euros to £'s everything looks pricey, I was in Dublin just before Xmas and it was around 6 euro per pint!!

Just be glad you're name isn't JohninDenmark. Decent second hand examples go for 100.000£ in this carloving country.

or if you're in thailand. my cousin in law?? (wife's cousin) lives out there and decent condition 06 plate would be equivalent of £100k. Something to do with 100% import tariff on any motor with over a certain amount of horses under the hood. so god knows what the new R8 V10 would retail for!
