Hi ,

Had a little scrape this morning but seem to have got a way with minor damage. As far as I can see there is no panel damage or dent. However it has left an inch long gash on the tailgate and some longer scuff marks on the bumper. I'm hopeful that these could possibly polish out....can any one reccomend anything that provides a decent "repair" or am I going to have to go down the professional route?
I used to use T-cut when I was a young lad...not sure if it suits the paint on these cars?
Any advice welcome.

I've used Megs ScratchX to remove minor scratches and swirls before today. However, if it's a car-on-car type scratch you may need a pro involved.

I have used Chipsaway on a previous car with excellent results. However, it is a franchise so I would imagine quality varies from area to area.

Google has turned up some other forums where people have used this product with decent success. I'll give it a go.......

It's not the most abrasive of compounds so you may need to give it a couple of goes. But the less you end up taking off the better so best to start easy!

If this doesn't work try the car care forum on here. Failing that detailingworld members are a helpful bunch.

The car is in for a service tomorrow and the bodyshop guys will have a look to see if they can polish the scuffs out. Failing that I'll try one of those products.

Can't believe I've been stupid enough to knock it!
