Just a note to be careful when its bucketing down with rain. I aquaplaned on a dual carriageway (I was travelling abouut 70 mph) and had a fight with a steel lampost.
Lampost trapped my left leg (below knee) so it had to be amputated at the scene.... my poor car... glad I had GAP insurance though
Can't wait to be driving again - maybe get the RS5 next time.

I was in no pain so didn't realise how serious my injuries were.
It took about 1hr 40 mins to get me out. It happened in September this year.
I broke my right leg in 2 places and got my first prosthetic last week so learning how to walk back into an Audi showroom.
I'm alive... thats all that matters.

Keep your spirits up Laura.
For someone who has had such a horrific injury, it is unbelievable how positive you are. Respect.
All the best.

Damn lma07!
You must have a guardian angel.
I must applaud you on your attitude, being positive is only going to get you back to where you want to be.
Good luck with your recovery!

Rupert - yes the van driver did come forward.
The road needs to be sorted as it fills with water. Another guy hit the replacement lamppost a few weeks ago and ended on his roof (minor injuries). At least he hit a 'bendy one'
Thanks for your kind words - I'm looking forward to having a V8 in my drive again.

Laura, your attitude is an inspiration and, I think, what you've been through really makes me think how lucky I am each and every day. Your accident also brings home that no matter how finely tuned these cars (or any cars for that matter) are if you do aqua plane and the tyres loose contact with the road, you're in trouble! I'll be respecting the wet roads just a bit more from now on. It's a pity something like this needs to happen before the safer lampposts are fitted! Or the road surface sorted out!
I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you're enjoying your new Audi ASAP.
