I'd be interested to know if anyone has had an official guide from Audi on this issue?

Minimum tolerance from Audi is a litre every 600 miles. Aything less is an issue, more is deemed within tolerance. Myself, I drop 1-1.5 litres in every 2.5-3k miles, may change now that I am changing the oil out every 500 miles though.

PG, are you dropping the oil and re-filling with new stuff every 500 miles? Presumably you're not changing the oil filter at the same time?

Phew! I was just trying to do the maths working out whether my oil bill was about to get higher than my fuel bill! lol.

I use ~1/2 liter in 5000 miles...
top of at oil change, usually mid stick after 5000...
haven't ever had to add oil...

After 21k miles my oil consumption has dropped to almost nil. Still changing mid-service though, roughly every 7500 miles..........

Very good practice.

When I had mine, it was the same. Change every £4.5k miles approx and nothing in-between.
