Joe Calzaghe's RS4 Damaged

Post by victor2vt » Wed Oct 14, 2009 3:09 pm

The boxer's car, registration BOX 3R, had a council digger plough into his

stationary car in Blackwood, South Wales causing £8k worth of damage.

Would you be telling him it was you :bash: ???

You mean the same big tough hard nut Joe prancing around the dance floor in tight pants, frilly shirt and make up on Sat night? He might be a good boxer and obviously a sound car owner but should have definatly left it at that! Embarassing, Im sure he can afford the repairs to the car but not sure about repairing his reputation.....

How the hell do they think that is £8K's worth of damage unless you replaced the entire door and rear wing section?

It does need both replacing for a proper repair, the door would re-skin but i wouldnt have it done its a pig to do and easily spotted when done,£8k is a bit spiced up but it would be £3-4k im sure

Side swipes are difficult to assess, if the doors don’t close properly etc then the assessor might be thinking 'A' pillar and that’s a whole world of hurt, anyway like hody said, if it wasn't £8k then it wouldn't be a storey. Quite surprised they didn't have Calzaghe rammed in a ditch on life support being give the last rights !..........only to make a 'Rocky' like recovery and take the world by storm (I could have wrote for the Sun you know :-?)

1000 max! lol

I could see that being close to 4.5k all day long. the rear quarter and door need replacing (the parts would probable come to about 1500), then you have replacement car hire on top. And at a minimum of 3 weeks for repair that it wont be cheap.

P.S - Door skins are a thing of the past BTW.

Oh and what a cool number plate.

Is that not a lot of asking money for a 2006 saloon with 27k miles on it?

Celebrity status cars " allegedly" demand a premium..... Cant understand why?? there is no way I would want one of Renaldo's Ferraris!! or any footballers car tbh.

Makes me laugh though as what stage do you class yourself as famous?? Round 2 in strictly or what?? I met the queen a few times, had a brew with Phil and had a pint with Stuart Pearce and even played golf with Celina Hinchcliffe!!
Maybe Ill pop along to my local stealer and convince them I am George Clooney with an RS 4 for sale ! ( it has been said you know!! :D ) "Now give me a 45k PX on that lil ol R8 over there and i'lll promise not to shag your wife" 8)
