Not sure if an old question so I will keep it brief.

Has anyone found disks that you can buy that are not from the stealers? I have been recommended these pads: The Ceramic Redstuff front brake pads are DP31513C, but have been told that only Audi sell the Disks

Mine will need replacing soon.

You could buy direct from Brembo or from TPS which is VAG's trade parts business or find them on fleabay or traders on here. The latter is the cheapest route.

Otherwise the only company that make OEM replacements is JHM in the US but the costs involved including shipping are not prohibitive.

Called TPS and they quoted the same as my local dealer on 8E0698151Q (new ones) at £191 plus VAT. Dealer booked to supply and fit £300 inc VAT.

Just out of interest I ordered JHM discs last week and they have landed in uk today.My rear discs and pads are finished but ordered all 4 to keep things similar all round even though fronts are nearly new !! Will post a pic when I get them .
Tried redstuff on an integra a number of years ago and from new to nothing left in 2 laps of knockhill . Still have banana shaped backing plates as a momento !!

go for the ebc yellow stuff much better than red

How much did JHM eventually charge you? PM me if you don't want the proce to go public. I'm thinking of doing the same thing pretty soon.

No bother , they arrived this afternoon but havent had a chance to look at them yet !!

I got the rear discs as well and will be fitting them sometime soon.

So excluding pads that's about £750. That's pretty good given you can get charged up to that just from OEM front disks.

With the greatest respects whoever told you this is talking rubbish! EBC pads are budget pads for the Max Power boys. the OEM Pagids are in a different league....... I appreciate even the OEM pads aren't cheap but they are good pads.... it's the Disc that IMO are lacking. the JHM Discs have had good reviews on the forums across the pond but not sure if anyone if running them over hear as yet. But stick to a good pad and steer clear of squeaky Red stuff pads.

If you want to spend a bit more I say that the Brembo big brake conversion pack if amazing and transforms the cars braking ability even in everyday driving. with the RS29 pagid yellow pads they are just so smooth and powerful...... Defiantly one of the best mods for the RS4.

how do you find the standard brake pads in the b7 set up? any fade? how much dust do they give off?

Any suggestions for rear disc's Jim? Mine are warped. I have front ceramics and just don't think the rears stand-up the stick you can the fronts

Have you tried having them skimmed? Cured my warped rear disks. Just find a garage with a Protech On hub lathe. If they will re profile the face of the disk afterward that would be ideal.

i had my discs skimmed recently and had ferodo ds2500 pads. I tell u what they made a big difference. Alot better then oem.
