RS4 Cabriolet rough ride and vibration
Hi. I am new to forum. I have an Audi RS4 Cab, bought new, that has been plagued with rough, harsh ride. Have had struts replaced by dealer twice. After 2nd replacement for left front leaking strut, ride has not changed. Vibration through steering wheel and seat of pants. Going over bumps results in feeling everything on roade, bounces over a bump. Vibration thru steering wheel all speeds. Tires are brand new, replaced by another of same set, rebalanced twice after that, no changes in vibration and harsh ride.
The harsh ride was not there new until 3K miles. Struts replaced. Reasonably smooth ride until around 14K, vibration and harsh ride recurred, dealer replaced struts and tires. Same harsh ride altho a little less harsh. But certainly not acceptable.
Any ideas? All welcomed and will be appreciated.

As davidkoulakis said a possibility would be DRC.
I have had the same issue with mine recently and had the wheels rebalanced twice also but always came back with vibration, sometimes through the front, sometimes through the rear and sometimes through both axles but sometimes only at certain speeds dependent on the kind of day weatherwise and temperature conditions.
To cure it all I have had my car back to Audi and had the DRC repressurised correctly, then had all four wheel rebalanced on a Hunter GP9700 balancer and the wheel allignment done on a Hunter laser 4 wheel allignment machine.
All this has resulted in me losing the harsh ride and vibration. Give it a try. Hunter machine locator at http://www.pro-align.co.uk/amc/centrelocator.htm

doesnt seem right, my cab has been absolutely fault free, no poor ride problems at all and we dont have the best roads around here!
Can only think of it being DRC probs which are more exagerated because its the cab
Good luck in getting it sorted

Well, the RS4 cab is back to the dealer. Checked and corrected tire pressures and ride still the same, harsh, vibrations through steering whel and hopping senation in rear. Doesn't smoothly take bums as ou oher Audis do; sort of bounces over them
We'll see what happens this time. It is certainly frustrating to say the least.
