Hi all

How about this..............

everytime i read most of the threads on here i feel as though 1. there are more Avant owners than saloon and 2. the Avant owners are more excentric than those with a saloon. Hope its not tru as i am a saloon man!

What do ya think boyz???

I'm a saloon man too but there is no better looking estate car than the RS4

I prefer saloons, but feel avants are most true RS

I've got an Avant, but I'd never considered myself eccentric. I came to it from a succession of 911s because I wanted something fast, premium and most importantly practical, as we were expecting our first baby. A saloon would probably have done the job nearly as well, but I reckoned the lack of folding seats would ultimately have been too annoying. All quite rational reasons.

However, the real reasons for choosing an Avant were:

They look better.
They're propers RSs (with the exception of a few prototypes, the RS2 and B5 only came in Avant form).
They're faster. Especially black ones.

I'm a saloon man but had 2 Avants before this, the A4 has to be the best looking estate on the market. You could almost say that they desiged an estate first and made a saloon out of it. I propbably would have had an Avant if i could have found one with ceramics

There were more saloons produced for the UK than Avants as per the thread on B7 RS4 numbers somewhere below.

Avant man myself, far more usable space.

Got to be an avant - way more practical than the saloon. Blue one's are even quicker than black ones!

Avants.....rarer and better looking!

Saloon was just an afterthought for Audi to make more money!!!

Saloons are for cowboys.
Avants are for drivers.

And phantom black is the fastest.

Its quite simple... saloons are for hetrosexuals, Avants are for.....

i was expecting all oposite, but its there in black and white, Avants are the winners.

Still prefer a Saloon!
