I have been considering a miltek exhaust for the car, in fact i had to turn one down a few weeks ago due to a change in my financial circumstances (even put the car up for sale), but all is well now and I would love to hear one in the flesh. So if there is anyone out there in the aberdeenshire area that doesnt mind showing off their loud V8 rumble to an undesided bystander please give me a shout!!!

cheers guys!!!

am afraid I cant help you because I live in England, but a friendly RS246 user on here recently let me have a listen to his milltek and it sounded brilliant so am hopefully going to get one soon (milltek non-res)

good luck, hopefully someone on here will sort you out.

Cheers PSG001 fingers crossed, i know they sound good outside, am just worried about the inside noise, i had a subaru WR1 decatted a year ago and it was way to loud on the inside, just dont want the audi to sound that mental!!! but at the same time it needs more V8 rummble!!! argggghhh!!

the one I heard was a resonated valved milltek on the RS4, it sounded great, but to be honest I think it could have been louder without being offensive (sat inside it whilst it was given a good workout and listened to it drive by again with some good spirited driving)

had a mk4 R32 with non-resontated milltek (standard cats) on it last yr and this was probably louder than the resonated milltek on the RS4.

I think the sound of a car make a hugh difference to the driving experience and having the milltek on the R32 made it so much more special to drive. I wanted that to be louder after 6 months of ownership!
I think the RS4 could be much louder than standard without being offensive, and the chap said at low revs its not antisocial at all.

The chap also demonstrated the "drone" effect of the milltek and it didnt sound too bad, sure it could get annoying if it was there all the time, but there are styles of driving to get around that.

decats are loud, am sure the non-res wont be anywhere near as loud as your subaru was especially if you have the standard cats on it.

anyway, hope you get a listen. Am trying to sort out the non-res for my RS4. will put a post up once I've had it fitted.

Got a Tubi fitted if you wanted to hear that as an alternative.

Was me :D

If alot of your driving is motorway cruising, i'd avoid the Non-Res, but other than that the Non-Res is a tad louder than the Res & if volume is important then it's the one to pick. I wanted the best of all worlds so opted or Res With Valves.
