hi all

just some opinions if possible. ive got warrenty with listers audi, everytine i go in to audi to get warrenty work done, they either spend all day authorising the work by phone or making excuses that bthe warrenty i have is basicaly <beep> (in not so many words), I havnt yet phoned the warrenty company up aqs i bought the car with extended 1 year on it.
Is there specific classes of warrenty or levels where in some cases all work is covered and vice versa???
I personally think they taking me for a ride as i agree with whatever they say.

Did they say what the delay was? I have heard a case where the dealership put the wrong mileage in, and this caused a delay, MOT proof was needed to validate warranty, (dealership put start mileage at 40k, where car was at 25k) just food for thought. I would ask them direct if I was you. should not be a problem if they used Audi warranty UK

thanks,

there is a tel no on my warrenty card. i will phone them to ask what class my warrenty comes under.

anyway, iv just had milltek fitted non res non valved, but i feel its lost abit of power. cat back. would this power loss be noticable or have i been reading to many threads on here regarding milltek non res??
also if i have it mapped would that void all warrenty?

Maybe, some dealerships work different from others, normally, if some thing on the car has gone wrong due to the modification then the Audi warranty team will most probably be notified. the Remap can be overwritten at the dealership. I had warranty work done on my car and she mildly modified. one thing I was told, not sure how true this is, when they hook up the diagnosis equipment to the car, if the machine is "on-line" i.e hooked up to the internet, then the machine will send out a msg to Audi warranty telling them that the car has been modified at the ECU, hence why the Audi Roadside guys never have there's hooked up to be on-line, food for though, again sounds far fetched, but that did come from a reliable source.

I doubt that a remap would void all warranty.

Its highly unlikely tbh.. a remap is VERY hard to find (if done properly with the counters etc..) Of course if the binary itself has changed then its obvious a remap has taken place.. but that check will probably never happen!
